I need a house-sitter to take care of my 2 Aby house tigers Manny and Vlad and my plants. I would prefer someone who is home regularly; my cats are very social and they love to have someone in the house. They are also quite active (this is a character trait of the Abyssinian breed), so they need about 10-15 minutes playtime every day.
Manny and Vlad need to be fed twice a day. Manny gets tablets for his allergy (his life does not depend on it). I have a lot of plants that need water once a week, so preferably my house-sitter has an interest in plants. I would love to meet the house-sitter before I leave, just to make sure my orange fluffballs are in the best hands possible!

My house is great for people that like their peace of mind. The street is quiet. You share the front door with our upstairs neighbours. The neighborhood is relatively quiet and on a great location; only 5 minutes walk from the train station and city centre, the Saturday market and a shopping street are literally around the corner, with all the necessities (pharmacy, supermarket (both larger supermarkets as well as Turkish shops), pet shop, take-away shops, etc.). There is a park right around the corner.

Eindhoven is the city of design and very hip and new; there are lots of cool locations to visit for the arts and culture nut! There are great cafés and restaurants, lots of creative places where different disciplines are combined (art/food for example). It is all relatively close to walk or to bike. As the city where Philips started, it has a very industrial look, lots of the old factory buildings have been repurposed for new initiatives. There is also a large museum for Modern Art (Van Abbe Museum). There are parks and nature areas just outside the city.
The Dutch train/bus network is very good, so it is easy to other cities with public transport.

I felt very welcomed by Margot and well-prepared for the sit with her adorable cat, Manny. Margot prepared a detailed booklet with all the information I needed for taking care of both Manny and the house as well as the many house plants. I was equipped with emergency phone numbers for every eventuality, and she was happy to fill me in on things to do in the area while I was there. She kept in touch during her holiday. Her flat was also very clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to stay with Manny, and I would be happy to do it again.
