I'm a retired lawyer, divorced, grandfather of three, from the Phoenix, Arizona (USA) area. Since I retired six years ago, I've spent four to six months each year travelling all over the world, frequently by motorcycle. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people in new places and have discovered first-hand that people everywhere, first and foremost, truly care about other people regardless what their governments tell them. I have discovered this in remote ares of South Africa , Vietnam and Mexico as well as cities like Mumbai, Paris, Sofia and Cape Town. My special passion is visiting archaeological sites - the older the better!

Mark was a great catsitter. We enjoyed spending an evening with him and sharing some good craic before we left on holiday. We felt totally reassured that we were leaving our apartment and two cats in safe hands. Mark regularly gave us news and was respectful of our home. We'd welcome him back any time! Mark arrived one day before we left, and we had a lovely evening together, where we did not just discuss the cat sitting duties but also culture and politics. We also discovered that he plays the piano very well, and we enjoyed a private concert. During our absence, he kept us up to date about our cat Clive, and when we returned, we did not just find a happy cat but also an immaculate house and the small garden well watered. So if you are looking for a very uncomplicated and diligent pet and house sitter, Mark's your man!
