ABOUT:
I'm a European Affairs professional located in Bruxelles and after 15 years of lobby, advocacy and representation /liaison office believably looking after a break. Or one might say - a personal wee Brexit!

Par conséquent wish to explore alternative solutions to effect my endeavour.

Every now and then my wife, Monica, may accompany me on a flexible basis depending on assignment, duration, Bxl engagements, mood, etc.

Probably I would favor assignments from 2 weeks to 2 months, that should give me the opportunity to visit different regions and make the most of my time abroad. Would like also to have easy access by car and safe place to park inwards.

WHY:
Sabbatical year, willing to take some time out of the hustle and bustle encompassing EU Institutions environment.

Need quality time to contemplate new perspectives and document my book.

I imagine this kind of endeavour is mainly based upon 3 pillars i.e. trust, converging purposes and chemistry.

I recognize my interests being related to:
1. Exploring unorthodox, unconventional ways to tackle, engage in and valorize insolite activities with certain degree of novelty and ever-surprising drill
2. Enjoy the prospect of meeting new people, with various backgrounds, ages, aims etc. from different locations
3. Take the chance to actually live in offbeat places/ cultures/ communities not just as the usual check-in-out hotel client

EXPERIENCE:
I started my insolite venture in May 2017 enjoying diverse house-sitting experiences concluded in Dordogne, Vendée, Lyon, Franche-Comté, Lavandou/ Provence, Pont Audemer/ Normandie, Toulouse, Andalusia/ Spain and Île-de-France.

Over the years did house-sitting on a casual basis for relatives, friends, acquaintances, etc. Back in Britain during doctoral years it was quite a fair involvement.
Also cared for pets, farm animals - used to have cats when I was a child, so it comes only natural...

CONTRIBUTION:
Customary maintenance and having a keen eye for detail should represent a prerequisite. Not to mention the implied due diligence in respect with all aspects of the property.
