We have two 14 year old siamese cats who occasionally scrap (not to worry) but mostly sleep cuddled up together. One of them, Steeve, has a tendency to gorge food, then vomit, so I give them small amounts of both wet and dry twice daily and fresh water. They like to go in the garden, and have never escaped it as it is secure, but the garden door to the street must remain closed and locked. Someone must be with them if they are outside as there are hawks around, and to ensure they are safe. They are mostly indoor cats and use the litter in the downstairs bathroom, which needs to be cleaned daily and litter replaced weekly. Yoshi sometimes tries to escape through the front door - he must be carefully watched when entering and exiting.
Water the indoor flowers and herbs in the back and side garden and house every 2 days unless it’s rained. Bring in the mail. Garbage is collected on the side every week, organics weekly, garbage and recycling alternate weeks on Tuesday mornings.

Would appreciate meeting the potential sitters one day earlier in order to exchange information. A close neighbour is available if there are any questions while we are away or if you need to take an overnight trip, they can drop by to feed the cats.

We don't allow parties or people apart from the sitters in the house while we are away. No smoking permitted in the house. There is a popular restaurant just across the street with a patio but it is otherwise residential. The garden is perennial with a section for herbs and vegetables. We have an outdoor BBQ. We don't have cable TV but have an antenna and Netflix.

Toronto is a vibrant yet safe city with great restaurants, interesting outdoor markets, museums, art galleries and lots of live entertainment. Much of this is walking distance from our house or a short streetcar ride. I can offer tips on interesting places nearby to photograph. The Toronto Islands dock can be reached in 30 minutes by public transit and offers a ferry ride, parks and beaches. There are bike share stands all over the city, and two a block away.
