We have a 13 year lab-german shepard mix, absolutely adorable and low maintenance and who loves to be loved. He needs to be walked for 10 min, 2-3 times a day as he has rheumatism though he'd rather stay in the front yard . He needs to be fed mornings and evenings but is flexible with the time. He'll poop of course, and that will need to be scooped (for your own benefit). The cats will come and go as it pleases them, just need to have their bowl filled with food regularly. During the dry season, it would be nice if you could water the plants. The garden has an automatic sprinkler.

It's a modern house located in the heart of Marseille, 15 min walking from Vieux Port, Notre Dame and other major attractions are easy to access as 4 buses passes near by. It has a large living area with open kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs and a guest room with small bathroom downstairs. The area is friendly, safe and quite like a village though you have all needed stores 5-10 min walking distance (butcher, baker, deli, wine, supermarket,...). There is a small garden but you will probably enjoy the 3 terraces more (one on each level).

We have a baby-grand piano that longs for musicians to play it. And books in English and French that can be borrowed. A housekeeper will come for 4 hours on Thursdays to help clean the house and water the plants.

the house is easy to live in and to look after. The neighborhood is quite although in the middle of town. It's a village within the city. Sea is walking distance. Though we have a car (and parking space), we seldom use it on a daily basis as it's easy to access everything by bus (to the city center, train station even the airport with the shuttle). It has nice bay window but stays cool in the summer. Kitchen is fully equipped and we also have a gaz barbecue. There is a dishwasher, 2 fridges, a washing machine and dryer. My husband and I purchased it recently as a "retirement" family house though for the time being we are still spending much time in Istanbul.

There is lots to discover in Marseille, a fabulous city and many enjoyable day trips around (Aix-en-Provence, Lourmarin, Cassis, Porquerolle, les Calanques, and many others. The food and wine in this region is fabulous. Beaches are nearby and you can make boat trips from le Vieux Port. There are beautiful markets in Marseille and around. We can help with further information on what to do depending on your likes as both city life (theatre, movies, concerts,...) and nature tracks are available (climb Mont Ventoux with bike, kite surf, walks through the countryside, etc.)

Mon séjour à Marseille..... * Les animaux * >>>> J'ai eu le plaisir de prendre soin de Prince, Lola et Lokoum durant 1 mois, à Marseille (respectivement, 1 chien, 2 chats). Prince est très calme, sage, docile et très affectueux. Il apprécie des caresses sincères entre deux siestes. Lola est jeune, joueuse à ses heures, et d'un tempérament très calme. Elle dort beaucoup et aime quelques caresses aussi. Lokoum est un chat au caractère très particulier. Il a un bon fond, il est très câlin mais préfère ne pas être touché. Une fois qu'on le sait, on ne se fait plus prendre ! ;-) * Les propriétaires Guy & Dany * >>>>>> Un couple charmant, généreux, jovial.
