He needs food (dry food) and freshwater every morning. His liter should be cleaned every 2 days. What he loves the most is playing. He is used to staying alone at home all day but shouldn't be kept on the terrace without supervision. (Minimum of 90min playing/day)
Plants: Only outdoor plants, some of them in need of daily water, some of them every 2 days. (10min/day).

Muscat is a widely spread city (around 100km length) but the flat is located is the center of everything. You can reach most places within 10min drive, some of them within walking distance. Muscat doesn't have a good public transportation system but petrol is so cheap that it might be recommended to rent a car if someone wants to explore the countryside. Your can also arrange a taxis to move around Muscat.
I consider my flat as a little oasis in the middle of the city. Oman is anyway a very relaxing country with a beautiful and diversified landscape (sea, mountain, desert, wadis). People are very friendly and always helpful (most locals speak English). it is a very safe country.

Sur: 2h30 from Muscat. On the way you can stop in Qurrayat (fishing village), Bimah sinkhole, wadi Tiwi, wadi Shab, Qalhat. Saloon car is enough
Nizwa: 2h from Muscat: Nizwa fort, Nizwa souk, Bahla fort, jibreen castle. if you drive an extra hour you can also reach Jabal Shams (our local grand canyon). On the same way you find Jabal Akhdar (green mountain) but a 4x4 car is mandatory to go up
Rustaq/Nakhal: 2h30 from Muscat. Rustaq hot springs, Nakhal fort and springs
Wahiba Sand (desert): 2h30 from Muscat. 4x4 car is mandatory
