We have 2 rescued female dogs, medium sized pointer and bigger sized half belgium shepherd, both neutered, 5 and 5,5 years old. Gipsy (pointer) is very homely and likes to stay inside the house when its rainy and cold outside, she needs a bit of motivation to go out on rainy days. Osa (shepherd) is very active and adventurous, she loves to spend time outside regardless the weather. She needs a lot of attention, stimulation and play. Both love to run, play, hunt. They are independent and wander around the property by themselves but they love to go for a longer walks with their humans, so once a day hike in the forest would be ideal. They need to be fed once per day.
We also have 2 cats, female Cleo and her brother Tao. They are very independent but they love attention and cuddles. Tao is quite needy and wants to be treated with lots of love. His foodbowl needs to be always full.

We are leaving to travel on 1st january (flights booked) so you should arrive couple of days earlier to get to know the pets and the place. Our return date is flexible but ideally we would like to be back between 15th-20th february 2025

Our house is a tiny (24m2) wood cabin with all the comforts! It is full of light and good energy, very warm due to good insulation and woodburner that heats the house in 5 minutes. Huge glass windows with breathtaking views. There is a fully equipped kitchen, solar powered electricity, spring water, washing machine, yoga equippment. Upstairs mezzanine has equally amazing views too all around, there is huge comfy bed with ecological materials and an office corner. This is an offgrid property, there is outdoor dry toilets and hot showers.
House/property is situated on the edge of the tiny village called Abitureira. There is no shops/cafes in the village. Closest town is Oleiros, 14 km away - there you can find all the necessary amneties.

As an off grid property, our toilet and shower is situated outside of the cabin, but both facilities are comfortable to use.
We also have an additional guesthouse, large outdoor yoga platform, bread/pizza oven and easy parking.

Life in our home and on our land is very layd back, simple and tranquil, you can enjoy silence and nature sounds, starry sky, breathtaking views: Its a soul nurturing environment. However, even that its situated on the edge of a tiny village, it is a bit isolated because there is no shops or cafes in the village. You need a car to go to closest town Oleiros that is 14 km away. In the neighbourhood there are other friendly likeminded foreigners living.
On the farm you can enjoy drinking spring water and collecting medicinal, aromatic and wild herbs, there are many fruit trees and vegetable gardens. During winter months there are plenty of wild mushrooms in our forest.
