The biggest responsibility is our farm animals. We have one goat in milk with babies, so fresh milk is available. Moving around the goats to their pens at night and feeding the goats and horses twice a day, water tanks need to be filled a couple times during the week. Being able to spot common health concerns in both goats and horses along with administering treatments if necessary. We have two high energy dogs, a heeler mix and a one year old border collie. They need outside time to play, but are inside while away and at night are cuddlers. The chickens and cats generally take care of themselves, but do need their feeders full and fresh water. The garden will need watering if we don't get rain along with our younger fruit trees.

We have a guest room with a comfortable queen bed available. I can get by with Spanish, and my husband speaks German moderately well, we are learning Norwegian for our upcoming trip as well. We like to meet people that are also interested in the outdoors and enjoy running, biking, hiking and camping. We would love to meet people who also have a farm or homesteads in other areas.

Ranch home approximately 15 minutes outside of downtown Flagstaff Arizona on a developing goat dairy. 5 acres with a hobby garden and horse pastures, a herd of 10 goats, 2 dogs, 2 horses and egg production. We are close to Sedona (45 min) the Grand Canyon (1 hour) and right next to Sunset Crater National Monument. The location is what drew us here and the space for our animals. It's quiet, the stars are bright, we are the first international Dark Sky City, and we are right at the base of the San Francisco Peaks.

Our area in Northern Arizona is different than the rest of the state, we live at high altitude over 7000 feet in the cool ponderosa forest. The summer is mild and calm. We are outside the hustle of town, but 10 minutes to most main amenities, 15 minutes from downtown and restaurants of Flagstaff. We have trail access within walking distance from the house and can connect up to 100's of miles of single track trails. The farm work is busy with 10 goats and 2 horses and 2 dogs, but so very relaxing and rewarding.

We have great cultural parks, with Wapatki National monument just down the road with pueblo settlements dating back to the 900's. You may even find ancient pottery sherds in the horse pastures. The red rock canyons of Sedona are only 45 minutes away. The Coconino National Forest that we are walking distance from offers endless recreation opportunities, from hiking the highest peak in Arizona to shaded aspen groves and flowy single track trails for running and biking.
