I have one dog, Fitz--a 15 lb Maltese/Bichon mix (aka, a little white fluffy pup). He loves to spend as much time with people as possible and absolutely LOVES to snuggle with you. Going on walks is his favorite thing in the world. He doesn't like other dogs very much but likes all people. Fitz needs at least 45 minutes of walking/day. He is fed twice/day and is fine on his own for 6-8 hours during the day, but I don't want him to be alone at night. I don't have any house-specific needs, aside from cleaning up after yourself and possibly bringing in a package, if needed.

Cute and airy efficiency one-bedroom apartment in an AMAZING DC location. Convenient to all DC attractions -- 8 to 10 minute walk to two metro stations with access to ALL lines; 15 to 20 minute walk to the National Mall; close to parks, coffee shops, grocery stores, and tons of restaurants.

The apartment has a fully stocked, renovated kitchen (though it's small) where you can whip up meals, if you don't feel like eating out. I've got most streaming services available on the TV for quieter nights at home, though there are so many activities going on in the evening, you may not want to use them. The bed is a super comfy queen-size.

My apartment is in the bustling heart of downtown DC. It is on the ground floor of a secure access building (there are four steps up at the entrance, which may be an issue if you have reduced mobility.)
You will have easy access to all kinds of exciting DC attractions, including all Smithsonian museums, galleries, and national monuments and memorials, as well as incredible restaurants and the best spots for nightlife.
The airport is ~30 minutes away by Metro, 20 minutes by car. There are two close metro stops (8 or 10 minutes away each), which give you access to all metro lines in the city. There is even easy access to train and bus stations, and there is a city bike rental right around the corner, so you can enjoy biking all over the city (my favorite way to get around!).

You can't beat a day spent at the National Museums of African American History, American History, or Natural History. If you love art, the American Art Museum and Portrait Gallery is a personal favorite, along with the Hirshhorn Museum and the National Gallery. Don't miss booking a night tour of the monuments on an open air bus.
If you are looking for music or cultural performances, the Kennedy Center hosts incredible symphonies, ballets, and other performances. You can find live theater or stand-up comedy throughout the city.

This was my first experience traveling with Nomador & Liz (& Fitz) made it awesome. Liz was kind and thoughtful, the space is a warm, comfortable retreat from the city. Fitz is possibly the cutest little pup in the world and an excellent companion for the week. Liz was great about staying in touch and working together on all the details. The apartment is situated centrally, so easily accessible to much of the city (I like to walk and clocked quite a few miles, which I found really enjoyable). 10/10 recommend 👍
