Our dog is a redbone, coonhound, beagle mix. She lazes around most of the day and is very easy to care for. We need someone to walk her two to three time a day and to feed her in the morning and the early evening. She's not too keen on other dogs, but it doesn't create any major problems for us. She is a bit anxious with new people, but she usually calms down quickly.
We also have a leopard ghecko which needs to be fed every other day. We have lights on his cage that get switched morning and night. He's very easy to care for.

It is within walking distance to two major subway lines and is on a beautiful tree-lined street with very friendly neighbors. It is a short subway ride or walk to the National Mall which houses all of our free national museums.

Can't come up with a better location for exploring Washington, DC. The U.S. Capitol, Supreme Court and Library of Congress are all within a 15-minute walk. You can walk to the museums in about 30-40 minutes or take the metro which is about a 10-15 minute walk from our house. There is parking on the street, but there isn't any reason why you would need a car.
