Rascal is a 3-year-old male Cavalier Spaniel. He's very affectionate, and in fact, will expect to sleep with you. He needs several walks a day. He enjoys other dogs, but most of all people. Rascal can't be left alone for more than four hours. We can leave names of pet sitters who can come over if you are going to be sight-seeing for a day. You also might consider staying with us before or after your pet-sitting week, during which time you'll be free to go into D.C. during the days, or wherever. We are excellent hosts.

We have a two-bedroom, two-bath condo about 40 minutes from Washington, D.C. Our neighborhood is highly walkable; close to grocery, shops, and restaurants. Just three blocks away is a lovely area of walking trails. We have a gym. The pool is open in the summer.

Adjacent to our condo is a gated courtyard, where Rascal can run around off-leash for brief periods. He often meets his friend, Chuckles there. We will leave contact info. Chuckles' owners will be a great resource for questions and occasional pet sitting/visits. We have wonderful neighbors!

We love being near several beautiful state parks, a library, and of course the museums and attractions of Washington, D.C. We have wonderful neighbors in our building and surrounding area. There are often plays and concerts in our neighborhood venues, The Kentlands Mansion and the Arts Barn, an easy walk of a few blocks.

There are fabulous restaurants and theaters within walking distance. If one chooses to drive or take the Metro into Washington, D.C., those opportunities are multiplied ten-fold! The National Gallery of Art, Air and Space Museum, Museum of Natural History, Library of Congress are all wonderul. There are numerous concert and theater venues, including the National Theater, The Kennedy Center, and Arena Stage. The National Zoo is one of my favorites. We only ask that if you are going to be away for more than a couple of hours, you call one of the pet sitters on our list. Also, feel free to come a few days before we leave so that you'd be free to spend the whole day sightseeing.

Rascal est un chien adorable, toujours en joie et très câlin. Ce fut un grand bonheur de le garder et difficile de le quitter. L´appartement est très agréable et confortable dans une belle résidence avec piscine et salle de gym. Les voisins sont charmants. C´est une zone résidentielle très calme avec des bois et des lacs tout proches où l´on peut voir des animaux lors des promenades. Patricia et David sont des hôtes vraiment formidables. Soucieux du bien-être du pet-sitter. Quelle belle rencontre ! Merci à Nomador de permettre cela.

I had a great time with Patricia and Dave before they left on a cruise. They showed me around and I could find my way easily to Washington DC after they left. Rascal is great dog, with a good heart. He has a lot of energy so he's a good companion to keep you fit. He will enjoy a lot of walks and play and he usually gets tired and quite between midday and 3pm and quite early in the evening. He is also able to adapt to a different schedule than what he does with his owners. I've had a great time in Gaithersburg, enjoyed the lovely neighbors too and I will be happy to come again.
