We have a black lab/husky mix dog, 8 1/2 years old but still very much a puppy! Her name is Dacey and she is very sweet, very social, and a little bit spoiled! She needs a walk around every other day, but we both work full-time, so she's used to being home alone for several hours a day. She loves to run around our large backyard, too. We also have 2 cats, Nike and Artemis, who are about 2 1/2. Nike is very shy of strangers but such a sweet cat when she finally warms up. Artemis is more outgoing and she loves to snuggle. The cats and dog get along very well together. Other simple tasks would include bringing in the mail, taking out the trash, and cleaning the litterbox. Our yard requires no maintenance or watering. It's all pretty low key!

Come spend Christmas in Santa Fe! We are looking for someone to look after our house for about 6 or 7 days in this range. We are planning to fly to California to visit family over Christmas, but we do not have tickets yet, so our dates are flexible. We're thinking of maybe leaving Santa Fe on Friday, December 21st and coming back Thursday, December 27th. Possibly. What works for you?

The master bedroom has a California King-sized bed and an ensuite full bathroom. Our guest room features a queen-size Murphy bed that is very comfortable. Our third bedroom is our one-and-a-half year-old's and has a cozy mini crib and lots of toys.
There are air-conditioning mini-splits in each bedroom and a larger on in the dining room/kitchen, for room-specific heating and cooling.
I am a big reader and you will find books in every room of the house! We also have a large selection of board games and movies. We have both wired and wireless internet and streaming videos services you'd be welcome to take advantage of, too.
We also have an upright piano and lots of sheet music, if you're inclined!

We live in a neighborhood, close to a great park and near multiple bus lines, and fantastic walk/bike trails. It's pretty quiet, though there is sometimes a little street noise from a nearby thoroughfare. The closest coffee shop and restaurant are less than a mile away. We have great access to all parts of Santa Fe, though it would be a long walk to downtown -- bikes or a car would be best. Our house is not large but is cozy and warm, with a bright kitchen great for cooking. Smoking is fine in the back yard (weed is legal here!), which is what Santa Fe realtors call "natural" -- gravel, native grasses, and dirt! No maintenance at all! But it's a great place to spend sunny afternoons and is very private.

Founded in 1610, Santa Fe is a small city with a world-class reputation. The mountain air, spectacular light, and deep history have drawn people here for hundreds (thousands!) of years. Many famous artists, authors, and actors have called this place home in the past and present, including Georgia O'Keeffe, D.H. Lawrence, George R.R. Martin, Michael McGarrity, and Gene Hackman. There are literally dozens of museums and galleries around town. Our restaurant scene is way better than any town our size should be, with everything from authentic New Mexican and Native cuisine to eclectic fine dining. The wildly popular experiential art installation Meow Wolf is not to be missed. The Santa Fe Opera is one of the most beautiful open-air theaters in the world. Just outside of town are the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the Santa Fe National Forest, with lots of hiking and outdoor activities.
Santa Fe is called "The City Different" and for good reasons. Pueblo-style architecture, high desert mountains, and spectacular sunsets dominate the landscape. We have 4 distinct seasons, each one bringing its own beauty and charm. Christmas in Santa Fe is very special, with local …

Santa Fe is called "The City Different" and for good reasons. Pueblo-style architecture, high desert mountains, and spectacular sunsets dominate the landscape. We have 4 distinct seasons, each one bringing its own beauty and charm. Christmas in Santa Fe is very special, with local events like Las Posadas and the Canyon Road Farolito Walk. Santa Fe is regularly ranked among the top destinations in the U.S. It's a very health-conscious city and accepting of many different lifestyles. There is always something going on! Check out santafe.org for current happenings and a taste of what this amazing place to offer!
