The chickies have an automatic feeder and automatic door on their coop so mostly just need to check for eggs every day or two, check on their water and maybe fill the feeder. Kitty (the cat) is laying low these days but would like to go out once or twice a day and have her food and water topped off every day or two and will come out for scrunching from time to time. We have a couple of small ponds that will need to be topped off and maybe water a few plants/trees if we are having high temperatures and no rain. Overall, easy and flexible

Feel safe walking to the nearby stores, restaurants, neighborhood bar or catch a bus to downtown if you aren't driving, plus there is always Ride Austin, Lyft or Uber. The house is nothing fancy but we do have a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry, two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a backyard with chiminea and seating. I would say there may be some garden fresh goodies, but we generally give up with the heat and start again in September.
