I am a folklorist (like an anthropologist). Formerly I worked for various government agencies or museums, but now that I am older I do contract work and write books/essays. I live in Tarpon Springs, Florida, USA, but I love to travel and in recent years have spent several months per year in Greece and Paris. I particularly enjoy staying somewhere long enough to be comfortable with its daily life. Although I was born and raised American, I am also a Greek citizen.
I have two wonderful cats, Sesame and Nutmeg, so I am quite lucky that my daughter is currently living at home and can care for the menagerie while I am gone. And she brought her cat, Luna, when she came to live with me a couple years ago. Nutmeg is a special needs cat because she is an amputee--we discovered her in our backyard with a shattered leg when she was about 5 months old. But she is a lovely, lively pet.
While I am housesitting I will be spending most of my time working on my current book about the natural sponge industry in Florida, Greece, the Bahamas, Cuba--and the related business in France and the UK. Which means I will be able to give your pets lots of attention! I am also a homeowner, so I am quite able to take care of plants, or other things that need to be done for a house or apartment.
I have spent a lot of my professional life interviewing people about their arts and culture, so I feel very comfortable with most people and enjoy chatting with them. And I am particularly interested in cinema and music. I also love walking and exploring the seaside and forests.

Tina was a perfect cat & house-sitter. She is a kind person, she took a great care of Plume. She left our home in a perfect condition. She is someone you can trust. I highly recommend Tina! It was great having her at home.
