Hello, my name is Kimberley. I’m a nonsmoking, outgoing, nature and pet lover with a home base in the beautiful Ottawa Valley of Ontario, Canada. I have a strong passion for traveling and have lived in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Italy, Panama, Ecuador, India, Portugal and Belize.
I love the outdoors and have many activities that I enjoy including yoga, kayaking, hiking, fishing, canoeing and camping. During Canadian winters (if I'm home) you will find me snowshoeing and cross-country skiing through the forest near my home. I had twelve wonderful years as a dog owner before my beautiful Kelly passed away and she would come along on all of my adventures with me. Kelly and I also took part in local agility training during the summers which sealed our bond forever.
The rule I live by is "There is no such things as bad weather.....Just bad clothing!
Most of my career has been in sales and marketing but my last contract had me involved with raising $3.5 Million Dollars for our local hospital expansion in Renfrew, Ontario. Now, I work as a digital nomad with a non-profit in Ottawa that helps immigrant and refugee women.
I know how it feels to have “peace of mind” knowing your pets will be cared for in a loving, kind way. I was fortunate, in years past, to have wonderful friends care for Kelly while I was traveling. Now I want to "pay it forward" to people like you who want that same peace of mind.
For me, the best way to travel is slowly! I am available for long term sitting arrangements. I am, by nature, a home body and I would like to combine this with my love of travel. Caring for your home and cherished pets would be an honor and a responsibility that I would be take very seriously.
After 27 years of owning my waterfront home which I just sold, I believe I can bring the many experiences of my home ownership to your house and pet sitting assignment. Taking care of your plants and gardens, picking up mail, keeping your home tidy and making sure your home is “lived in” for insurance purposes while you are away, are all duties I take seriously to ensure you have a worry free holiday.
When I was living at home, my gardens were my pride and joy. During the summer months you would find me tending to my perennials, cutting grass, weeding, watering and fertilizing. I enjoyed watching my gardens change and grow over the diverse Canadian seasons.

When we first read their profile and met Kimberley & Rhéal via Skype, we knew right away they were the house sitters for us! They asked all the right questions, were well organized, professional and sensitive to our needs. Because of their previous international experience and having done a house sit in Thailand before, not to mention their many 5 star reviews, we felt totally comfortable leaving our home, 2 Thai doggies and the salt water pool in their capable hands. Remi, one of our Thai dogs, is a little nervous of new people but within a day, we could see how quickly she warmed up to them. Kimberley and Rhéal were diligent to keep both dogs on their feeding schedule, and provided them with lots of treats along the way. Communication was excellent and they kept us well informed with daily updates and pictures of our pups, which we appreciated very much. The home, garden and pool were looked after perfectly. The pool was kept clean and vacuumed and they even scrubbed the inside walls of the pool. Our many coconut trees, palm trees and several date plants were well watered and the dead leaves from the plants were trimmed away. Our water bill was scheduled to arrive in our absence and Kimberley & Rhéal had no problem taking the bill to the local 7/11 and paying for us. We came home to very happy pups, a beautiful, lush garden and a very clean home. With our late return they ensured the fridge was well stocked with a variety of fresh fruit and eggs for the next morning. It was an EASY return home and we could tell how much our dogs loved them by how relaxed and content they were! Our highest recommendations go out to Kimberley and Rhéal. They are a very caring and kind couple and if you have the chance to book these two, do it! We are already talking to them about coming back again next year.
