Young at heart baby-boomer who enjoys travel and meeting new people. House sitting offers the opportunity to see potential retirement communities and the chance to make friends all over the world. I love dogs - if we are reincarnated I was a dog in another life! I have been self-employed as the owner of a dog daycare, that I recently sold, so I am trained in pet behaviour, first aid, and how to add play and exercise into dogs' daily routine. I am now working on my newest enterprise Crafty Beasts Brewing which is a nutritious treat made for dogs and packaged as a craft-style beer.
I have two positive reviews on this site and other testimonials that I can provide from private sits I have completed in Nova Scotia. I am an experienced AirBNB host with a consistent Superhost rating.
I grew up in small-town Nova Scotia, Canada and I enjoy rural living. My commitment to you would be that I exceed expectations in all that I do and I am known to my friends as trustworthy, sincere, and with a great sense of humour. My goal would be to create a worry-free experience for you and to manage any challenges I encounter with common sense and problem-solving. I am typically a solo traveller.
The little extras I can offer, if interested, are cleaning and organizing those places we all have in our homes - cluttered closets, kitchen cupboards, garages and storage areas, and the infamous "junk drawer". I welcome you to check me out on Linked In, and Facebook and I have reviews on AirBNB as well under Cindy James.
I look forward to our conversations about how we can create a shared experience that works for all of us.

Cindy was really good with my pet and home. My dog Niles is skittish around new people, dogs or situations, but he took to Cindy right away. She was wonderful about sending updates with photos. And she connected with my neighbors in this small, tight-knit community. My home looked exactly like I left it 3 weeks earlier, and Niles was happy and unstressed. She also handled being stuck without her luggage for 2.5 weeks (airlines lost her bag) and a last minute scramble for new flights on her return due to a monster winter storm covering the entire Northeast. All with a smile. She was terrific.

Cindy was an AWESOME house-sitter and a great help with my social media. I hope she decides to come back some time soon.

Cindy was really great. The dogs and cats loved her, nothing seemed to faze her and she was really interested in our little house, the local area and the region around us. She was also very personable, and we enjoyed her company the one evening we had together. we hope the French air traffic strikes didn't disrupt the rest of her trip to Europe too much, and we hope to see her again, as a house-sitter, a guest at our B&B or just as a friend
