We are a Kiwi (NZ) couple in our early 60s who love to travel, make new friends, become part of the community in which we find ourselves anywhere in the world, embracing the culture of the country and region.
Jen is a budding writer and Peter plays double bass in one of New Zealands top Jazz bands (who regularly tour internationally), as well as managing his web development business. Our professions allow us to work remotely from anywhere in the world with a good internet connection.
Since we began housesitting we have had many wonderful adventures looking after pets and homes in New Zealand, Australia, France, Germany and UK and have been asked back by the owners of all of these places as housesitters and friends. Currently we do not have pets of our own so get our fix of cuddles by caring for other peoples pets and their homes worldwide, keeping in touch while they are away to reassure them their pets are being cared for and sending photos if they like.

We have a wealth of experience in caring for animals between us. Jen ran a deer farm for 10 years (one of those years by herself) while also working in town full time. Between the two of us we have had the privilege of caring for deer (170 of them), cattle - Jen named all of them (making for tears when it came time to sell them), dogs, cats, chickens and a couple of very naughty goats :-) SInce embarking on our housesitting adventures we have added fish, sheep, bees and swimmimg pools to our areas of expertise.
We are practical, easy going, keep a very clean house and are respectful of other peoples homes. Our references from happy home owners bear testament to this. In addition to references we also have police checks for your peace of mind.
