Receptionist/caretaker( hotel/hospitality ) + writer
Hi, my name is Angel. I'm an artist & writer who works seasonally as a receptionist for hotels & hostels between Art residencies. I love traveling & what I am looking for in a house-sit is a place I can take care of while writing & preparing to go abroad, where I'll be practicing French or Spanish daily to become better at the 2 languages.
In December I finished an 18 month front desk position at a beautiful hostel in the national park above the golden gate bridge / San Francisco - the Hostelling International's HI-Marin Headlands.
I miss having pets(they were a no-go in the recent hotel housing) and would love to spend some time writing in warmer climates before going abroad.
I have a full hospitality/caretaking resume with hotels, hostels & ski lodges, plus I've been the person to welcome Airbnb guests in Miami & LA. I have also house & cat sat occasionally for friends in nyc, and grew up with dogs, cats, birds & fish.

Angel was a perfect sitter for my cats, home, and plants. The house was clean and the cats were happy and healthy when we got home from our three-week trip. She is a good communicator and was quick to respond to my messages while we were gone, even though I often lagged in responding to hers. She is independent, which was nice since we were often remote and couldn't always answer questions right away. When our flight was canceled and we had to spend an extra day away, she was flexible and changed her plans to stay an extra day at the last minute. She is very friendly, and we were blessed to be able to have dinner and spend a few hours talking after we returned. She likes to walk and got to know our town and community. The cats and the plants were happy and healthy when we got back. She did very well with our kitties who are competitive for attention, and finicky in their little own ways (i.e. different food, not wanting to be too close to each other while wanting to be close to you, allergies and sensitivities, etc.) We would love to have Angel mind our home and pets again and I highly recommend her.
