House sitting for Lucia’s and Henrique’s animals and looking after their farm “Quinta do Pinheirinho” was such a pleasure and a privilege. They gave me such a warm welcome and went to great lengths to make sure I would be comfortable during my nearly two week stay in their cozy wood-house located only one km away from the next village’s train station and 40 minutes from Lisbon by train connection. They provided clear instructions on all relevant subjects and were always available and very responsive when I texted them news or questions. Lucia, Henrique and their two young boys are blessed to live in a 5’000 m2 property with inflatable swimming pool and 26 pets and small feathered farm animals. I recommend the experience for animal-loving people who are patient and flexible and like to work at least an hour for daily watering the different vegetable patches in a pleasurable semi-rural environment. Thanks for this rare opportunity and I look forward to a continuing friendship.
