Hello,
we are a family of 4, Mateu just turned 51, Sylvie 53, Laïa 16 and Loïse 9.
When we met, he was already living in Chamonix, working as a ski patrol and canyoning/mountainbiking guide. I am a freelance translator working from home so it was easy to follow him. His work and his passion for the mountains is obviously one main aspect of our lives. We are kind of 2 teams in the house: the skiers and the snowboarders. He likes to be on the go and take us for adventures. Our youngest will be exactly the same! They are both crazy skiers. I like to be home and read and chill and do DIY and so does our oldest.... We both prefer snowboarding.
We often go to the Pyrénées to my in-laws. Normandy and Loire Valley are my childhood places.

nous sommes 4 personnes dans la famille, Mateu vient d'avoir 51 ans, Sylvie 53, Laïa 16 et Loïse 9.
Lorsqu'on s'est rencontrés, il vivait déjà à Chamonix, il était déjà pisteur et guide canyoning/VTT. Je suis traductrice indépendante et je travaille à la maison donc je l'ai juste suivi mon ordinateur sous le bras. Son travail et sa passion pour la montagne sont évidemment l'essentiel de notre vie ici. A la maison, on est deux équipes : les skieurs et les snowboarders. Il aime bouger et nous emmener dans des aventures partout. Notre petite va prendre le même chemin ! Ce sont eux les skieurs. Quant à moi, j'aime être à la maison, lire, me reposer et bricoler, tout comme notre grande..... et nous on préfère le snowboard....
Nous allons souvent dans les Pyrénées chez mes beaux-parents. Moi, j'ai passé mon enfance en Normandie et dans la vallée de la Loire.

It was great to have the help from Sylvie in organizing the trip and while staying there, she was always here with great advice and ideas to hike around! The cat is gentle and straightforward, he asks when he wants something :) more like communication: please open the door- funny) and... a great collection of books and stunning view from the windows!)
