I'm a PhD Researcher in my fifties,
Hi, I'm a 56 year old from the UK currently doing a PhD in Economics (Climate Change). I live on my own, my kids have left home, and I don't have to go into the university often, so I have a lot of flexibility. I am a pet lover and well used to cats and dogs (and goldfish and bearded dragons!)
Before my PhD, I was a company director (Information Technology) but I changed careers in order to make more of a direct difference to the world's problems. I enjoy discovering new places where I can get my head down and work, and also meeting new people and getting to see life from different perspectives.
