We're a couple with no kids, non-smokers, I'm 52, Jess is 40. We are financially independent travelers that enjoy spending a few months in France. Both animal lovers. We don't have pets of our own but we spend a lot of time around dogs and horses. Jess has done house sitting for a number of years in the US and has looked after dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, horses, goats, birds, etc. I am mechanically competent and can look after things if something goes wrong. We are tidy people and will have our own car with us for dog walks or vet trips if needed.

Jessica et Nicholas ont été très souples et rassurants et ce dès le 1er contact. Chaleureux , ils ont su mettre à l'aise Sahara, Oslo et Kenya sans l'ombre d'un doute. Je suis partie en totale confiance. Je recommande vivement Jessica et Nicholas, ils ont été formidables!

Nik and Jess looked after our property and our two cats (3 year old Sammy and 1 year old Dusty) over Christmas for 3 weeks Dec and Jan 2023. They proved themselves to be ideal custodians and caretakers of all. Our property has its challenges as it's an old stone house in rural France and they proved to be very diligent in its care. Monitoring all heating and ventilation systems, watering plants, Checking for storm damage, processing heaps of firewood with chainsaw and axe. They are both very practical and capable and really treated our property as their own, leaving the house and grounds immaculate for our return, which after a very long trip was a real joy to behold. Sammy and Dusty had regular feeding and treats, and were administered plenty of cuddles. Nik and Jess were perfect caretakers in this respect and it’s no exaggeration to say that Sammy and Dusty thoroughly luxuriated in their care. I’ve no doubt that Nik and Jess are genuine animal lovers and would go to any length to ensure your pets well-being. I believe they genuinely became very fond of our cats over the festive period and vice versa. During their stay Nik and Jess became truly trusted house-sitters. They were attentive to all the needs of the house and its furry occupants, and they were a real pleasure to correspond with, dealing with every request thrown at them with enthusiasm and good humour (the house can be complex to keep running over winter). They proactively kept us up to date with how things were going and contacting them was never a problem, we used WhatsApp to make this easy. We would certainly be delighted to ask them to sit at our home again when we plan future trips overseas. Sammy and Dusty if they could articulate their opinions, would probably insist on it ;)
