Dot, a retired school principal and Colin, a retired CEO of ABB, are animal lovers and experienced house sitters. We have always had family pets and have used house sitters many times when we needed to leave them at home. We especially love labrador dogs and have owned and loved several over 30 years. We didn't have the heart to replace our last one when she passed 3 years ago. Dot especially enjoys cats as well and likes to share a couch or chair with one !
We are also very keen travellers and we really enjoy looking after pets for other people in other places. We have been doing this very happily for 3 years now in Europe,(France) Australia and NZ., and have made lots of new friends, ( including 4 legged ones !) while learning much about other places.
We are clean living non smokers who are reliable and trustworthy and can provide references and addresses, phone numbers/emails etc. We like to come 1-2 days before you leave so that we can meet and make friends with your pets and learn about their routines, toys, sleeping places etc. This usually helps both the pets and ourselves to settle together happily. Hopefully the animal owners will then be able to go on holiday without worrying about their pets.
We will be in Europe again this year, visiting family and friends and hope we can also find some lovely dog/s or cat/s to look after in an interesting place.
