I am Alicia, Spaniard living in Luxembourg. I have travelled mainly around Europe but also US, Mx, Maghreb, throughout my life. I am usually hosting cat-sitters to care for my 12yo cat Jerry, and would like to venture to sit myself this year.
As I am a host myself I am very careful and attentive to respect the place as my own and will put pets as first priority, as I also do with my companion Jerry in daily life.
I am receptive towards the requests that you may have regarding the stay and appreciate an honest communication to get the most out of it.
I am used to cats, dogs, chickens and bunnies as I had them growing up and would also love to learn about other animals cares. I am also used to medical care in dogs and cats and I am very attentive to their body language and reactions, changes of mood/appetite, as I had to learn especially with my now elder cat, and am always to the look.
I am very safety conscious for the pets and of a home and would never try anything that could put anybody or anything at risk (i.e. windows open for cats or release the dogs from their leash).
My job allows me to telework so I would like to use this opportunity to travel a bit more around Europe.
I love walks in nature, discover remote places, small villages and community environment.
When I travel I like to have the local feeling which is why I prefer travelling this way, plus it keeps me in contact with a pet, that otherwise I would definitely miss! I like to discover the surroundings and also to have some home quiet time.
I am a vegetarian, and I accept if you would prefer to keep your home vegan :)
I travel mainly by car.

Superbe séjour chez Alicia et Jerry au Luxembourg ! Nous avons eu plein de belles attentions à notre arrivée (petit déjeuner, spécialités Luxembourgeoise, nous avons eu le privilège d'avoir la grande chambre, serviettes ...). Alicia nous a tout de suite mis à l'aise et donné plein de conseils pour notre séjour. L'appartement est spacieux, très agréable à vivre et surtout bien placé pour visiter le Luxembourg ! Jerry est un chat très attachant, adorable et calin. Nous gardons un magnifique souvenir de ce séjour !

While the virus situation and closed borders kept me from the pleasure of sitting Jerry, Alicia was very kind and organized while we planned the sit, and flexible in the face of uncertainty regarding travel restrictions. I hope to be able to sit Jerry in the near future.
Petit appartement bien situé, très agréable, dans un quartier très calme. La propriétaire nous a fort bien reçus, et nous regrettons de n'avoir pu passer plus de temps en sa compagnie. Son chat "Jerry" est un beau chat auquel nous nous sommes attachés durant notre court séjour.

Alicia is a kind, friendly, and very thoughtful host -- she left her home filled with positive energy and in great order with very clear video instructions, detailed guides, and tips for the city and surrounding areas. We felt completely at home during our stay in Luxembourg thanks to Alicia's hospitality, cozy and clean apartment, and her sweet cat, Jerry. She also left us with some typically Luxembourgish treats, which were delicious and we won't soon forget. All in all, it was a really positive experience and we would definitely pet-sit for Alicia and Jerry again. :)
