About this sitter
Hello, we are a Dutch couple (53 and 52 years young), NON-SMOKING and are experienced and respected house sitters. We love animals and travel with 1 old rescued Spanish dog. We love new cultures and taking care of your house, garden, animals and/or guests. Our very old (14) dog Mojo is a very well-mannered rescued Spanish dog and is fine with other dogs and animals. If you are worried about Mojo if he will make your house dirty do not worry, because he takes care of himself like a cat ..... he cannot bark at least he has never done that before.

Our dog is a ‘lazy’ very old dog that sleeps 23 hours a day and is really laid back, so other animals do not have to worry, but also he will never chase any animal because it is not in his nature but also because he is very old now.

We like taking care of your animals and/or house in a quiet and sunny environment.

Why they want to house sit
After obtaining their diploma our 2 sons of 18 years old we choose a gap year for the boys to think about their next step in their future. We did indeed 2 house sits with them and it was for everyone a great joy. The boys just left and have gone back to the Netherlands to live on their own. But we enjoyed this new lifestyle so enormously that we as a couple (without the 2 boys) are now looking forward to spending time together abroad and discovering new cultures and languages. We are currently staying at a great house sit near the Mont Ventoux in France and are always interest in other opportunities that you have for us. It just fits us both so why not pursuing that dream?

Their experience
We are now taking care of an olive farm near the Mont Ventoux in France for an English family that decided to go back to the UK. Also this house sit is a new adventure that brings us and the owners great joy and lots of mutual respect.

Prior to the current house sit, we did a house sit in Marbella (Spain) for more than one and a half years and the English owner was very pleased about our work and how we took care of his home and dogs. In this case we arrived with a garden that needed our attention to shine again. And we did! We can even send you the pictures when we arrived and pictures from today. You will see the improvement after a lot of work that we did with lots of love for the owner after he lost his wife.
