Dear host,
Below we will explain why we are particularly suitable as a house sitter. But first to ourselves: we are a couple, 52 and 45 years old. My wife, Eva, is a civil engineer and currently works as a private teacher (math and physics). I, Dominique, have already retired. I have an MBA and most recently worked independently with my own construction company. I (Dominique) originally come from Germany and have now been living in Spain for twenty years. We have a daughter of 14 years and our own, self-built house on the Spanish Mediterranean coast.

We had animals like dogs, cats, ducks and chickens since childhood. After fifteen years with a fantastic golden retriever, we now have a Jack Russel Terrier - and it keeps us pretty busy. We love walking, horse riding, art, architecture, philosophy and mother nature. Of course we like to travel. We are calm people and overall we live quite retired.

Due to our professional career, we have a well above-average understanding of craftsmanship. Our own house is powered by solar power. In recent years we have extensive experience on HelpX and Workaway. This was about the exchange of accommodation and voluntary help with various projects. We were mostly the hosts here and received 12 excellent reviews (5 out of 5 stars) from people from many countries. These experiences have greatly increased our awareness of the concerns and needs of hosts: reliability, punctuality, order, cleanliness and the general maintenance of the installations.

We see our strengths primarily in the following areas: absolute reliability, love of animals, communication, order and the identification of problems and their potential solution. We are open to organizing necessary solutions if necessary, provided that the means and possibilities are available.

What we are looking for: a clean house in a beautiful natural environment. It is not a problem if the house is a little further away from the next place. For our needs, it must be quiet in the area. We believe it is important that prior to the handover of the house for the agreed time, all potential problems with the installations are clearly pointed out.

It is clear to us that we have further details to discuss with our potential future hosts. We have the possibility to have all important conversations with you face to face via Skype or Whatsapp.
