Needs and animals

Pet-sitting | 2 Dogs

Looking for somebody to occupy the house and take care of my 2 dogs. One is a German Shepherd and the other a 3rd World mutt. I do have other housing, so sitters can come early and stay later with little problem.

House

I have a wooden Mennonite casita on 23 acres near the village of Chunox. The property is lagoon front with connection to the bay, but the house is a few hundred yards away from the water and there is forest between. It has the basics and is fairly comfortable. Has a pretty good solar system, full-size range and fridge, MW, TV and stereo. Upstairs is the main house, and downstairs is a small apt. This house is not for the luxury seeker. It has running water, but gravity feed. You use the 3rd world flush technique...pour about a quart or two. Toilets ARE connected to a septic system. There are plenty of bugs, mud, heat and rain...and many people cannot tolerate that.

Not for the luxury seeker. I am off grid so do not have AC. The house is not idiot proof. You need to be able to water the batteries, start the water pump etc. Consider it Glamping.

Tourism and Leisure

Not much to do in this area other than commune with nature. The perfect candidates would be a Sheldon and Amy Farrah Fowler types spending all day online finishing their PhD work. Orchid Bay is a resort down the road with a beach and restaurant.
