Our cats are use to being feed twice daily and fish once daily. If you will be absent for a period of time please notify neighbours. Just take care of our home and enjoy it.

Our home is a two bedroom, den room with wood heating plus electric heating. Main bathroom plus an ensuite. 1/3 Acre lot in semi rural area. Septic tank. Two cats and fish tank. Our home is well lived in a certainly comfortable. We have wifi but low cell phone reception. We do have a land line though. We are 15 min from town with a bus stop directly across the street. an hour drive to sky hill and a 7 min walk to beach, deer in the front yard periodically, but still have close friendly neighbours. Our back deck is partially covered and has chairs on for hardy outdoor seating, chairs on front porch as well. Extra pictures available on request.

We do not have a bath tub but have two showers and have a hot tub on the back deck. We have a large TV with various attachments, netflix, games, a turntable and albums and if the electricity goes out we have a windup phonograph with old records. There is always lots to do, especially if you are active. Lots of trails in the nearby areas. We have one close neighbour, can see house from kitchen window, the rest of the neighbours are more distant but our back yard has high fences and large hedge and so is quite private.

We have a fairly small kitchen with an eating area but we have it well stocked with herbs and spices and equipment. We have a BBQ outside the kitchen door and a chimera in the back yard if you like outdoor fires. Our living room is very comfy and once you light the fire and settle down, it is hard to move. Our area seldom gets snow but saying that there have been rumours of a harsher than usual winter this year. Mt. Washington is our nearest ski area and usually has the largest snow pack. Lots of Eagles in the area. Lots of beach area between here and Campbell River where we do most of our shopping, though Courtenay is also fairly close 35 minutes. Lots of restaurants in town, the closer being 5 min away in small shopping area, including grocery store, liquor store, garden market/plant store and various other amenities. Quadra Island ferry is also 15 min away.

We have lots of walking tails, biking trails, skiing,(less than 1hour away) boating. You can go on nature flights or go to the nearby islands (various) Our life style is typical west coast. Laid back and easy going. Dressing in the area is also relaxed. You can still dress up to go out to eat or go to the bar but most people will be wearing slacks or jeans. There is a good museum in town, live theatre, movie house, though you can get most on our TV, good selection of stores and if you choose to go to Courtenay, another good selection of stores in their old part of town, where they have kept more of their older buildings.

Lily and Edy are amazingly friendly and lovely people. Taking care of their home was such a pleasure. The two cats are so cutes and easy going. The house is really welcoming and in a good location.
Lily and Edy made everything (and even more) to make our stay comfortable and unforgettable.
