I expect some play/petting time with the cat. Check she is always in good health as she has been going into some territorial fights lately and if she has big scratches she will need a vet. Give her some treats, check there is enough food in the feeder and clean fresh water in the fountain. And that she can always come in and out the house, so that the cat flat is functioning. She likes sitting close to you when watching a movie or reading on the sofa. Sometimes she brings small mouses at home at night....you can either free them back if they are alive or let her do her thing, but do not make a big fuzz about it.

House

The house is a 45 sqm garden house, warm and cozy. There is wifi and a fully equipped kitchen with a small dishwasher. it is a comfy open space with mezzanine and separated bedroom. I will be traveling and my cat really likes human contact. she can go in and out as she pleases and has an automatic feeder, but still needs some supervision and love :-).

you can sunbathe and barbecue in summer. In winter internet and HBO can keep you company together with some good books. you are not far from the city center so that is always an option. There is a public swimming pool with saunas and warm waters very close by and a fantastic fiord park with beach and playgrounds for the summer. I have an electric bicycle you can use to go around as you please.

It is a quite area, where people go to relax, read books, make art and just find some piece of mind. We are all private even if the neighbors are very close by. In winter particularly there is few ppl around and it very quiet. (in winter only) relying only on rain water for everyday needs is not a problem for 1 person alone, but two people will need to be extra careful. The water is stored in 1000 l tank connected to the main pipe system so the only thing you have to do is to check the level of water you have to have the feeling of how much you consume. In summer ( April to October) there is safe drinkable municipal water. the nature around the small garden is entertaining. I have also few vegetables you can pic and enjoy and gardening can be an option if you like it. During summer there is much more to do in the area if you want but you will keep a very private and relaxed life in the house.

Aalborg is a growing university city. it has 130000 people circa and different things to do. In winter warm baths are a good place to visit if you like it. In summer the west coast is very popular, you cat take a 45 minute bus to the coast and easily spend a day at the beach. Down south there is a forest called skørping that is very nice for walks and nature. It is an old pristine forest enjoyable in summer or winter.

What a great first homesitting's experience! I had a very good contact with Lucia, before-while-after the stay. Her cat Nanami accepted us right away and was really sweet! The house is located in a garden area, very quiet and unusual for city guys, we just loved it!! A lot to see and do in the region. It would be a pleasure to homesit there sometime again <3

Lucia is very friendly, helpful, polite and thoughtful, our communication was very good from the beginning. She explained all the necessary information about the house and Nanami but also she had written a cute and detailed note for me :) She arranged everything for my stay even for one day extra ☺️ The house was in a calm and peaceful neighborhood. It was better than pictures, had lively and cosy atmosphere. You had all you need. We had a very pleasant stay at Lucia's house. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is super cozy, with everything you need. Lucia was very flexible in arranging the dates, and very willing to help us at all times. Nanami is a very loving female cat who loves to go hunting, as well as returning home to be petted and ask for food. She is very easy to take care of, you only have to pay attention if she has a fight. We had a really great time and enjoyed the house! Big hug to Lucia and Nanami!
