We have 3 dogs: Bodi, an Australian Bernedoodle (male 5 y/o), Nounou, an Australian Labradoodle (female 3y/o) and their daughter, Lola, an Australian Bernedoodle (female 8 months old). They are very friendly and sociable dogs, love to be surrounded by people.
They have low to moderate energy levels. We walk them (around our house) in the morning, at lunch time and after noon. In the evening we just let them out very quick so that they can relieve themselves before bedtime. Our backyard is enclosed, here the dogs can play off leash. But they don't like to be kept there by themselves for a long time.
They can be alone for max. 3-4 hours.
They don't have special needs, however, they all have a long(er) coat. So drying their paws is recommended after walks and it would be great if you can brush each doodle once or twice during the duration. Doodles don't loose (a lot of) hair. But it is still recommended to vacuum clean once in two days and mop twice a week - especially during wet periods.

We are thinking of driving to the Netherlands in the evening of 18 December. So it would be great if you arrive at the beginning of the after noon so we can give instructions and show you around.
We expect to return on either Sunday morning 29 December or Monday morning 30 December. This is negotiable.

Restored charming farmhouse surrounded by a bio vineyard and forest. It sleeps 2 persons (1 bed, 1 bath - as we keep upstairs private). We have two beautiful big fireplaces, perfect for a cozy afternoon after a walk with the dogs.
Our house is very private, but we are definitely not isolated. We have multiple villages nearby with restaurants, supermarkets and bakeries within 7-15 minutes drive. Having an own car is a must.

The countryside is very peaceful. Beautiful rolling landscape. We are surrounded by a vineyard and a forest, there is no road or neighbors close by (just 1 on 600m). Many times you will see deers and birds of prey. If you are 'lucky' you will see foxes, owls or wild boars during dawn.
Almost every day there is a market in a range of 30 min drive. We love to visit the small market in Monségur (8 min drive) on Fridays. They have an amazing bakery and various restaurants. On Saturdays you can visit big markets in La Réole or St Foy la Grande (both 25 min drive). The beautiful city of Bordeaux is an hour and fifteen minutes away from us.
On a rainy day we love to put on the fireplace, have a glass of wine and delicious cheeses from the market. Play board games or watch a movie or Netflix. In the mean time make sure you have a free hand to cuddle one of the dogs ;-)
Good to know: Only Nounou is allowed on the sofa on a blanket in the evenings. The other two dogs will love it when you sit on the carpet …

Next to the various markets, you can visit wine chateaux - for example in the famous city of Saint-Émilion, or old chateaux that now function as a museum - like the Chateau of Duras.
