When you're staying at our house our cat Jason will accompany you. Jason is deaf by birth, which has some implications. (1) He’s never going outside without a leach also if he really would like that. So that means being very careful with opening doors (and windows) when going outside. (2) He’s not so well raised so he jumps on the table and the kitchen counter and he also likes throw things from it (because not hearing the noise) so you have to clean up at least the fragile items. (3) He is able to meow really hard. It can feel disturbing, but in general he just saw another cat through the window... Besides this little instruction he is super easy. He likes to have people around him and to sit on their lab or playing tag. Because he’s deaf he’s also super easy with playing music or other noise stuff. Besides taking care of Jason we would be happy if you water the plants, light gardening and leave the place clean. We have a garden where we try to grow some vegetables. So it could be that we ask you to do some light gardening tasks like watering some plants.

Nous nous absentons du samedi matin 27/11 tôt au dimanche 05/12 fin de journée. Nous serons heureux de vous accueillir la veille ou même le jeudi pour faciliter la transition pour Jason. Pour votre départ cela peut-être +/- 1 jour autour de notre retour.

Notre maison est dans un quartier calme, à 10mn à pied de la plage d'Erromardie, et 30mn (à pied) du centre de Saint Jean de Lusz. C'est une maison un peu spéciale, construire autour d'un ancien blockhaus. Il y 3 chambres, un bureau et tout le confort moderne. Nous avons également un jardin dans lequel vous trouverez toujours un coin au soleil ou à l'ombre selon votre préférence. Our house is located in a quiet neighbourhood 10 minutes walking from the beach (Erromardie) and 30 minutes from the centre of Saint Jean de Luz. It is a unique house with a small bunker as its base. There are three bedrooms and a study. And it has all modern conveniences. The house comes with a garden where you can always find a spot in the shade or in the sun.

La maison est dans un quartier calme, à l'entrée d'une impasse. Vous pourrez profiter du jardin et de ses coins à l'ombre et au soleil. Vous trouveez supermarchés et boulangerie à 10mn à pied, ainsi que la plage avec ses guinguettes également à 10mn à pied. Le centre de Saint-Jean-de-Luz est à 30mn de marche ou 10mn en vélo. Vous y trouverez toutes les commodités, la vieille ville piétonne à visiter, et la plage aoutour de la grande baie à l'abri des vagues. You will enjoy the garden a lot with all the different spots it offers, Supermarket and bakery are within walking or biking distance. 10 minutes' walk it you beach Erromardie with nice bars. 30 minutes walk or 10 minutes by bike to the city centre where you can find everything you need. It's a typical Bask town with all the cute corners to discover. In addition, Saint Jean de Luz is located in a super nice bay with a beautiful beach.

Theater

La région est magnifique, tant sur la côte que dans l'arrière-pays, offrant plein de lieux de promenade ou de randonnée selon votre ambition. L'Espagne est à portée de main, avec notamment Saint-Sebastien, et Bilbao et le musée Gugenheim sont à 1h30 de route. Les stations de ski des pyrénées sont à 2h de route. Entre océan et montagne, la météo est imprévisible et cela fait aussi le charme de la région : on ne sait jamais quel temps il fera le lendemain, voire le jour même, ce qui incite à profiter de chaque moment de soleil.

J'ai passé un séjour très agréable auprès de Jason chez Lina et Cédric. Ils habitent dans une maison proche de la plage d’Erromardie, très calme et décorée avec goût. Il y a un petit jardin où l’on peut promener Jason en laisse (il est sourd, et il serait donc dangereux de le laisser explorer les alentours de manière totalement autonome). Jason est un chat très doux et très attachant. Il est vraiment très facile se s’occuper de lui, puisqu’il ne requiert aucun soin particulier et n’est pas compliqué à satisfaire en ce qui concerne la nourriture. Cédric et Lina sont de super hôtes qui ont tout fait pour que je me sente bien chez eux, et m'ont donné des instructions claires. Merci encore pour votre accueil !

Cédric, Lina and Jason gave us a warm welcome and did everything they could to make our stay and discovery of the surrounding area as easy as possible. After kindly collecting us from the station, they took us to lunch at one of their favourite spots, where we were able to get to know each other even better. Jason is adorable, playful and, although deaf from birth, he knows how to make himself understood. I definitely recommand them!
