We have a young cat (turning 2 in July 2022). He is totally adorable. He loves spending time outside, but when he's coming back in he appreciates someone to play with or someone to cuddle. He's very attached to people and "checks in" looking for someone when he comes home. So apart from serving him his cat food, we really would like to find someone who loves cats and enjoys playing and cuddling.

We will be leaving in the morning of 14 April and return in the evening of 28 April. We would like our house sitters to arrive already on 13 April in order to show them around and make sure they know where to find what.

Bright free-standing house with generous garden in a village next to Lausanne (direct train and bus links, 10 minutes by train). We are close to the forest; supermarkets, a bakery, butcher and a pharmacy are within walking distance in the village, larger malls can be found in the neighbouring village (5 minutes drive). Lake Geneva is 10 minutes away by car.

Bussigny is a quiet village with a few restaurants. Lausanne offers a more interesting and varied nightlife with bars and clubs, and also an opera and a concert hall. We have a few bikes, scooters for children and adults and lots of indoor and outdoor toys.

Bussigny is just outside Lausanne in the Lake Geneva area. It's a small town with everything you need within walking distance. There are a few restaurants in town: Italian, a great Indian, Chinese, Spanish, and many more in Lausanne, which is a 10-15 minute drive or train ride away. The lake is 10 minutes by car, forest and fields close to the house within walking distance.

The Lake Geneva region is quite cool, really.
Parts of it are UNESCO World Heritage. The Lavaux area is famous for its picturesque vineyards and steep terraces and there are lots of beautiful little historic villages.
Mountains are around the corner: the Alps, the Jura. On clear days you can see Mont Blanc from our house/garden on the other side of the lake.
The area is great for hiking. You're up the Jura in 20-30 minutes and on real alpine mountains within an hour.
You can also take a boat to France. Or spend a day on Montblanc. Visit Lausanne (a few minutes away), Geneva (half an hour by car/train), Berne (1 hour by car/train), Basel or Zurich (2 hours by train).
Since we are in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, this is also an opportunity to brush up your French in one of the language schools in the area (Lausanne or Morges).
