We have one cat, Charlotte, 7 years old. She is very shy and often sleeps. She needs to be fed every morning and evening, her litter box is cleaned every day. We also have house plants that need to be water every 3 days or so.

We'd like you to come one day early so we can show you around. You can leave the cat for one night if you need to, we leave enough food and drink for her. Our dates are May 1 to May 19 but you could arrive on April 31. This period is very busy in Sarasota so you'll find it's a good deal to stay here.

House

One story home with a garage and small garden, very quiet community pool, 18mn from the beach, 15 mn to downtown and 5 minutes from a huge mall. The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, an enclosed veranda, in a peaceful and leafy neighborhood. There are several paths to bike or walk, a large rowing lake in the back where you can also walk and run.

We have a few games, a TV and you can use Roku to stream on the TV. The pool is 5 mn walk away (2 blocks) and is usually empty since half of the houses have their own pool. It's 12 meters long and it's great to relax. We call it our "private pool". Very well landscaped too with palms all around. Gardener comes regulary so you won't have to take care of the garden, only house plants.

We have a barbecue (coal) outside, also the kitchen is fully equipped. We have two bikes, a canoe (you will need a roof rack to transport it though). Our house is an oasis in the middle of Sarasota, very green environment and quiet area but close to everything. We have a HOA so you can't park a truck outside at night. Regular cars are ok though. Airport is 15 mn away. There are golfs around if you play but not included in the house amenities.

We have wonderful beaches all around. Siesta key is the most famous but the closest one is Lido Key with St Armand circle (shops and restaurants) which has fine white sand too. There's also the Ringling circus museum with a wonderful park and manor, plus an art museum, free to visit on Mondays. Sarasota has a nice cultural art scene, festivals and nice restaurants and bars. UTC mall is 5 mn away and had lots of restaurants too.If you like canoeing or hiking there is Myakka state park, several rivers. tampa is one hour away and St Petersburg has great night life, murals, and museums (Dali, western art museum)

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Sandrine & Francis' home while cat sitting adorable Charlotte! They were extremely hospitable, very thorough & very resourceful. They made sure i was comfortable and had everything i needed. Their home and neighborhood is beautiful and safe, and they are very in tune with different cultures. I highly recommend them!
