Pet/House Sitter, Retired Nurse (U.S)
It was after my first International pet sitting job, just outside of Rome that I made up my mind to move there for four years! It was a fantastic experience! I have been and animal lover all of my life and have been a pet sitter for several years both in my house and in other's homes. I have shared my home with dogs, cats, pet rats, bearded dragons, snakes, fish, turtles, and a variety of birds. When I was younger, I even had a skunk and raised newborn raccoons! I have not had experience with farm animals, although my sister had a Vietnamese Pot Belly Pig whom was more like a dog! I'll be happy to learn!
For 5 years I have traveled Internationally with my two Brussels Griffon dogs. 2019 brought me a lot of heartache as my 13 year old, Brandy, died in May and 12 year old Itsy died in November. Niw, I petsit to get some cuddles.
I am a nurse, so a caregiver by nature. :) If your pet has a need for injections or medications I'm the one for you! My girls needed a lot of medical care during the last year of their lives, they even had their own inhalers.
I love to travel and explore new places. You will see that I have excellent reviews on my petsitting page in Perth www.Facebook.com/FloppyHatPets.com, as well as Airbnb for being a considerate and clean guest. I can provide other references if desired, I also have Workaway and TrustedHousesitter experience. I am applying for a partner visa which means I’ve cleared a U.S FBI police clearance as well as police clearance in Western Australia.
If you need your plants watered or veggies need to be picked, I enjoy caring for indoor plants too. My current interest is making kokodama balls, starting new succulents, collecting and growing moss, not to mention growing tomatoes and chili peppers on my balcony (when I was in Rome.)

Monica (and her sister Jessica) took great care of our two dogs and two bunnies. They had to deal with unexpected issues (like a power outage) and handled everything very well. They also sent regular updates including photos and videos to show us how the pets were doing. It was clear that they were having a good time taking care of (and cuddling with) the pets. They were also very attentive and noticed when one of the dogs started having a skin irritation, and contacted us to confirm what they should do. We can enthusiastically recommend Monica to anyone who needs a dog-friendly person to watch their home or pets.

Monica is amazing and we will definitely ask her to look after our cat again in the future. When we came back from our holidays, Mimi was really happy and relaxed and she did a really nice friend, Itsy. Mimi had never seen a dog before and we were a bit afraid of her reaction, but Itsy is lovely and really calm, so Mimi adopted her since the first moment. Since then, naps together, walks to the park together... they share a lot of things. Monica sent us daily updates and pictures so we felt reassured all was well in our absence. Thank you very much Monica, you totally made our holidays the most relaxed ones ever! And definitely we hope to see you again. Good luck and a lot of hugs for Itsy
