We've just completed 5 weeks looking after Jo & Pat's house, garden & pool. They are lovely & relaxed people with a great home. Communication has been brilliant before, during and after the house sit. They welcomed us for a planned short handover with all the info and detail we needed as experienced house sitters. The home is in a great location, between the mountains and the sea, easy reach to the shops, easy reach to the beach by car, and several really good bars & restaurants near by - expat style, indian, italian and spanish. The house is really comfortable and quiet. A relaxing outdoor room, and a secluded lawn & pool area with views. Looking after the pool was simple, but of course easier if you've done that before. Looking after the garden was watering & dead-heading the flowers, the usual stuff for any gardening inclined people. Anyone keen on walking or road cycling or mountain biking will love the countryside around Jo & Pat's home, as we did. We will be back for sure......

After more than a month living in Jo and Pat's house we can say that it has been a beautiful experience. There are many things to highlight, but perhaps what we liked most about our stay has been to meet Rufus. It is a special dog. He has infinite energy, he is very intelligent and you laugh a lot with him. But he knows where the limits are and he is not an annoying dog that demands you with barking. If Jo and Pat had left us, we would have taken it with us :) The house is full of cozy corners where you can relax having a coffee. It is comfortable, spacious, bright and with incredible views of the natural park of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama. The house is located in the Axarquía area. It is a region with a lot of personality full of leisure alternatives. We have taken the opportunity to visit charming villages, hiking or diving in one of its incredible beaches. We cannot finish the summary of our stay without talking about Jo and Pat. They have been excellent hosts. They are polite, close and make you feel comfortable. They let us fully enjoy any part of the house and did what they could to facilitate our stay. For all this we believe that it is a highly recommended housesitting that we encourage you to do if you have the opportunity. Thanks for everything Jo and Pat. Virginia and Juan Pablo

We had a wonderful stay with Rufus in the Viñuela area. The house is comfortable & best of all walking distance to the beautiful lake. The area has so much to offer for lovers of nature. Most locals speak English & there is a well stocked Brit shop for those who can’t do without their home essentials. But the highlight of our stay was Rufus the dog. He really is the most wonderful companion, so very funny, loving & active. He showed us all the best walking routes, he loves to go to the beach, but is just as happy mooching around the house garden. He really is such an easy going dog, we had a wonderful time with him.
