I am semi-retired. So I have plenty of time. My wife will join if she gets free time in her job. For 15 years I had my garden and I had poultry (Chicken and ducks / Indian Runners. 15-20 depending on the hatchrate and the foxes´ activity). Cats were always part of our life. Formerly I was WWOOFing in Tobago and in Ireland at a goat farm. Beside the work with the goats I used to walk the dogs, throwing sticks, feeding them ... All what dogs love to do. For 20 years I had and still have horses. So I am familiar with all what to know about horses. Besides riding: Feeding, doing the poo-management, managing the fences and the meadow land. Currently I have two horses. As long as I am abroad they are in good hands.
This year I start being housesitter at times. What about my command of French? J´ai oublié beaucoup pendant le temps au lyceé. Mais je croix que la vocabulaire et le grammaire va retourner pendant mon presence en France.

Nous avons eu le plaisir d'accueillir Klaus pour partager cette première expérience de home-sitting. Klaus a quelques notions de français et est bilingue anglais, ce qui lui a permis d'être autonome dans notre région. Il s'est vite familiarisé avec nos animaux, notre chienne et notre vieille chatte, que nous avons retrouvées telles que nous les avions laissées à notre départ. Pendant notre absence nous avons eu des nouvelles de notre maison, ce qui est rassurant. Ce fut un plaisir de partager cette expérience avec Klaus. Si l'occasion se représentait nous lui ferions confiance de nouveau.
