Hi! We're Ruta and Ram, a mature problem solvers couple on a career break. We're caring, creative and practical bunch who speak languages of all animals and are naturally curious to meet people from different cultures.
Originally from Lithuania we spent 10 years working in Dublin, and since 2018 summer we're living nomadic lifestyle! We've travelled Irish countryside through volunteering programme HelpX, reconnected with survival skills like baking bread, making a fire, foraging wild beet and swimming in the cold ocean, made friends with people of all walks of life, studied online, collected research ideas, created design projects, wrote poems and met tens of furry dogs, horses, hens and kittens!
We would like to house sit in winter closer to wilderness, because we find inspiration in nature.
In 2020 autumn, we would like to do a slow expedition across Japan and South Korea, Sweden and Finland.

Ruta and Ram were excellent house-sitters. They took good care of our cat, and really made friends with her! They also kept our house in good condition, and were well able to deal with an unexpected minor emergency. We can highly recommend them!
