Bonjour, hola, hello, moin,
we (Karen & Steffen) are a nerdy, passionate travel and exploring couple both born and raised in the suburbs of the city of Hamburg, surrounded by family, gardens and pets.: Karen with dogs, Steffen with cats, and even though these preferences haven't changed much, we try our best to convince the other one to fall in love with the other kind of pet as well.
We both love to eat, cook and hike - we often even joke that „eat & walk“ is our superpower ;)
We both do our PhD at different universities and in different disciplines which leads to interesting discussions at our home, a lovely modern condo with a garden close to the city center in Cologne. So if you would like to explore this city - we are also open to switch places with you!
As we love to explore other countries and place, and, due to our current jobs, we are very flexible regarding our workplace, we see housesitting as an excellent and exciting possibility and way to get to know new places and to have a change of scenery as we both are working from home a lot of the time. Plus, we don't own any pets at the moment, so having the opportunity to take care of yours and maybe sneak in some cuddle time here and there would be great!
If there's more you'd like to know, feel free to ask! We gladly provide you with all the information you need as we can imagine trusting your home with someone is a personal delicate matter. As we are aware of that we see it as our responsibility to take good care of your home while you are gone and be good and trust-worthy house-sitters!

Steffen and Karen where the ideal home-sitter couple for us. I had a very good feeling about them after our first video call, because they asked me a lot of questions about the cats and the appartment. My husband had the chance to meet them before we left on vacation and like this the cats had some time to accept their arrival in our home. I really appreciated that they often sent me news and pictures from our tiny furballs and how they get along with them. I was happy to come back home and find my cats in great form and the house very tidy. I warmly recommande to choose Steffen and Karen as your home-sitters.

We cannot say enough about Steffen & Karen! At the outset, they were responsive and easy to communicate with about our cat's routine after we left . They went over and above not only to meet those needs, but exceed them (they even organized toys for my cat :) ) , giving us regular updates and a happy cat and clean home return to! Most importantly, we came home to a cat who appeared very well cared for. Stefan and Karen completely eased the stress of being away 3 weeks from our home and cat. And they are wonderful people. We would not hesitate to recommend them.
