I am a mature mom whose two children have grown up & are off to University leaving me time now to travel more on my own and explore new parts of the world.
I have home/pet sat numerous time for 5 different families in Barbados, Florida, California & Costa Rica, 4 weeks back to back for 2 families. Please see my references on my profile from these lovely homeowners.
I own a small landscaping company which gives me the flexibility to leave when I want for as long as I want. I am somewhat semi-retired & am enjoying my freedom ! I have grown up as both a country and city girl and am very capable of many varying scenarios! I built my own my home, I was my own contractor, I can drive a tractor to growing a fantastic garden to cooking a fancy meal. I am very competent & have very good common sense as well as being very reliable, responsible and clean. In our family we have 2 dogs, a cat, 2 ducks, chickens, pigeons and fish! We have had cattle, horses, goats, sheep, the entire barnyard! I love to travel, antiques, photography, gardening & pottery. I am in the process of putting together a couple children's stories I had never had time for in the past. I would love the opportunity to answer any questions you have and hope you will consider me to take care of your home and your loving pets.

Susan House/Pet sat for our home for 2 weeks; we were quite impressed with her. We have 3 dogs & a cat & they loved her. She took very good care of them, taking them on daily walks, even taking them to the beach a couple of times. I believe they missed her after she left, as they appeared mopey for a couple days.
Susan followed all instructions to a “T” in the care of our home, plants, pool, & pets. She left the house in a very clean state. We would definitely have her again; as a matter of fact, we asked if she would be willing to return next year.

We cannot recommend Susan enough!! She sat for us for 3 weeks in Barbados and we never felt so at ease leaving our cats behind. She is clearly an animal lover, very affectionate and experienced with cats, and our cats immediately felt comfortable with her, even our very anxious Leon. Susan even brought several cat toys that they are still enjoying! During her stay, one of our cats was recovering from an infection and she easily took over administering her medicine and even canceled plans to take her to the vet on a short notice. Susan is greatly reliable, respectful and a very nice person to know and connect with! We had continuous communication while we were away and she sent us frequent photo and video updates. She left our apartment in a pristine condition and even left us lunch and snacks before leavinf. I feel like I have known Susan for years and we cannot wait to be able to host her again in the future!

My name is Wendy Nickerson and I am writing this email as a reference for Susan Ivanic. I live in a gated community in Naples, Florida. I was so fortunate to have found Susan on Nomador last month when I was in search for a petsitter for my cat Pia, while I was away in Canada from July15-27th. It was such a surprise and a treat to come back to my home and have it better than I had left it! Susan went far and beyond her petsitting responsibilities. When I arrived home the house was very clean, she had my favorite foods stocked in the refrigerator, Pia was well taken care of (she requires medications twice daily), and flowers had been planted in the empty spaces in my flower pots that looked just gorgeous (as they had been weeded also). Susan realized that Pia needed a new toy and she bought her one and sent me the picture. It was so nice to have such peace of mind while traveling. I received several pictures/texts when I was away reassuring me that Pia was doing fine. Susan also offered to take me to the airport and then come and get me upon my return. This helped so much in terms of making transportation plans. It was such a treat to come home to a "Welcome Home" sign, card, gifts and beautiful flowers. This has not happened before with any petsitter. One of the gifts was a very 'unique' framed picture of Pia that I later found out took hours to capture. Although it is not one of Pia's best poses, I will certainly treasure it and the sentiments behind it. :-) I live on a lake and ducks often frequent the lake and then come up and visit, usually looking for food. They are gorgeous creatures. Susan found a specialty animal food store in Naples and purchased a large bag of high quality duck food so she could feed the ducks. Needless to say, the ducks were happy campers when I arrived home. She also filled all of the bird feeders in my back yard. Her love for nature and animals came through loud and clear. Although I was the one who should have been providing her with tips on where the best beaches were located, she actually found many beautiful beaches (I have only been residing here a year) and made note of where they were by leaving driving addresses/directions. I could go on and on and on, but I think I have made it clear how appreciative I am of Susan and all that she did while I was away.
