I am a mature mom whose two children have grown up & are off to University leaving me time now to travel more on my own and explore new parts of the world.
I have home/pet sat numerous time for 5 different families in Barbados, Florida, California & Costa Rica, 4 weeks back to back for 2 families. Please see my references on my profile from these lovely homeowners.
I own a small landscaping company which gives me the flexibility to leave when I want for as long as I want. I am somewhat semi-retired & am enjoying my freedom ! I have grown up as both a country and city girl and am very capable of many varying scenarios! I built my own my home, I was my own contractor, I can drive a tractor to growing a fantastic garden to cooking a fancy meal. I am very competent & have very good common sense as well as being very reliable, responsible and clean. In our family we have 2 dogs, a cat, 2 ducks, chickens, pigeons and fish! We have had cattle, horses, goats, sheep, the entire barnyard! I love to travel, antiques, photography, gardening & pottery. I am in the process of putting together a couple children's stories I had never had time for in the past. I would love the opportunity to answer any questions you have and hope you will consider me to take care of your home and your loving pets.

Susan House/Pet sat for our home for 2 weeks; we were quite impressed with her. We have 3 dogs & a cat & they loved her. She took very good care of them, taking them on daily walks, even taking them to the beach a couple of times. I believe they missed her after she left, as they appeared mopey for a couple days.
Susan followed all instructions to a “T” in the care of our home, plants, pool, & pets. She left the house in a very clean state. We would definitely have her again; as a matter of fact, we asked if she would be willing to return next year.

We cannot recommend Susan enough!! She sat for us for 3 weeks in Barbados and we never felt so at ease leaving our cats behind. She is clearly an animal lover, very affectionate and experienced with cats, and our cats immediately felt comfortable with her, even our very anxious Leon. Susan even brought several cat toys that they are still enjoying! During her stay, one of our cats was recovering from an infection and she easily took over administering her medicine and even canceled plans to take her to the vet on a short notice. Susan is greatly reliable, respectful and a very nice person to know and connect with! We had continuous communication while we were away and she sent us frequent photo and video updates. She left our apartment in a pristine condition and even left us lunch and snacks before leavinf. I feel like I have known Susan for years and we cannot wait to be able to host her again in the future!
