We are a caring, fit, adventurous Canadian couple who have been house-sitting in different cultures for over ten years while working online as marketers and business writers.
We love animals and have been asked back to house/pet sit whenever our furry friends needed a sitter. We cared for a Canadian Ambassador's home and dog, and became "family". We've travelled around Africa, Latin and North America, Asia, and Europe.
We have references from a long list (60+) of happy homeowners from Belgium to Bangkok, including the Panamanian Ambassador to Canada, and the Costa Rican Ambassador to Panama and many more. We would encourage you to chat with them -- We may start out as strangers but we end up as friends!
We both love to travel, but we also miss pets and the feeling of being part of a community. In past house sits, neighbours, become good friends who stay in touch. We love that feeling of truly entering a culture, learning the language from the locals, eating like locals, and caring for lovely pets and homes.
Plus, Thomas is handy. He has built many homes, in both tropical and temperate climates, and he knows plumbing, electrics, pools, general maintenance, etc. Both of us have shared our lives with rescue dogs, cats, and even a rescue horse. Plus, in South Africa, we had a farm with horses, sheep, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, cats, dogs and koi. We know how to care for animals and we love to do it!
We have cared for a luxe oceanfront condo, an off-grid Caribbean cabin and boat, an island home in Mexico, an Ambassador’s Panamanian home, a Costa Rican 5-star guest house, and a surfer's B & B in Panama, complete with making both "Bs" every morning. From upscale to rustic, we'll take wonderful care of your home, and pets!

Excellente expérience avec Sharon et Thomas, ce couple canadien, très sympathique et très fiable. Nous leur avons laissé notre appartement parisien deux mois, et Sharon et Thomas se sont parfaitement bien occupés de notre chat et de notre intérieur. Nous avons reçu quotidiennement des nouvelles de notre chat souvent avec humour! A notre retour, l'appartement était absolument impeccable, et de petites réparations avaient été effectuées. Sharon et Thomas sont un couple très sérieux, et c'est à eux que je ferais appel si nous repartons. Nous recommandons à 1000%%!

Thomas and Sheron were fantastic cat-sitters. They had even prepared some toys for my cat. They kindly sent a picture of him everyday knowing my cat mama heart would be melt. My (silly) cat looked very happy and super comfortable around them. They also took fantastic care of my plants and the whole flat which looked even cleaner than when I left. They thoughtfully prepared some small surprises like a fruit basket for my return after a long-haul flight which was very appreciated. If Thomas and Sheron offer to home-sit for you, say yes! Thomas and Sheron are a very friendly couple. They are obvious animal lovers, super reliable and showed great care to both my kitties and the apartment. They are very autonomous but also gave frequent news which I really appreciated. And even left very sweet gifts both for me and the cats. I highly recommend them and hope they’ll drop by Paris another time !

Sheron and Thomas came to our Paris apartment to take care of our cat during a recent July week. We were able to meet beforehand, which certainly put everyone at particular ease. This couple is simply wonderful. They are interesting, caring, extremely conscientious, and they left us an immaculate house on our return. There were even goodies awaiting us after a long and stressful return trip! Sheron treated us to regular photos and news, which showed that our cat clearly adored them. If you have to good fortune to be able to snag Thomas and Sheron to take care of your pets and home, consider yourselves wildly lucky and make the deal!
