Travelling is my passion, my name is Hidde, I am Dutch and in my late fifties, and currently residing in Valencia province in Spain. I have come to appreciate the Nomador community as I have had five housesits in my casita here in Spain. Since that experience I know why housesitting is a great way to see other places and meet new people. I have more than 30 years experience looking after cats, both in apartment and a house setting. I know how to make cats at ease and normally they come to me and trust me quickly.
My house is clean and I am a big fan of keeping everything tidy. I don't like bars and parties. I am practically a vegetarian so I don't grill meat or fish in the kitchen.
My hobby is bird watching. I will prefer to do housesitting in a rural area where I can go out and walk and study birds in the area.
I speak Dutch, English, French Spanish and German, fluent, good or pretty good to make communication with me easy. I will keep you updated regularly with news and photos of your pet(s) if thats appreciated.
I have a car and am retired so very flexible in timing. Of course I will take/collect you to/at the airport or train/bus station if necessary.

Hidde est un homme charmant , soucieux du bien-être des Homesitters, accueillant et très sympathique. Nous avons partagé quelques moments ensemble et surtout nous avons été souvent en contact , pour se donner mutuellement des nouvelles .. ce qui était très agréable .. quand à Binkie ,c’est un amour de petite chatte ..qui est vite devenue confiante , avec nous et les calins, les jeux , avec elle ont été un plaisir pour nous 3 …Nous gardons un beau souvenir de Binkie et peut-être qu’on la. reverra .. ce Homesitting était un plaisir , l’environnement était plaisant et les ballades au milieu des orangers agréables , les belles plages sont à proximité.. merci encore à Hidde

Dès le premier contact via WhatsApp, Hidde a su nous mettre à l'aise par sa sympathie. Nous avons été très bien reçus. La maison est ancienne mais avec du cachet grâce à une décoration et un ameublement adaptés. Binkie la vieille chatte est très en forme. Elle est très demandeuse de câlins, c'est vraiment un amour de chat ! Le propriétaire Hidde était facilement joignable ce qui était rassurant. Si vous souhaitez visiter ce joli coin de pays, n'hésitez pas !
