i am a proud born-&-bred lifelong nyc resident who is now a permanent global citizen (currently in the EU)! i am a full-charge creative (writer, performing artist, visual artist, dancer, singer & educator) & traveller. i love animals and have cared for many different kinds all over the world.

as a solo traveler, i am a self-sufficient problem solver. i lead a private, intentional & solitary life and keep to myself, so i am not looking for tourist activities or to party. i make the best of every locale and prefer my own company & that of animals. and with these animals, i prioritize their schedules, needs & comfort, since having their family away is a challenge. i genuinely enjoy connecting with creatures of all kinds.

as a housesitter, i value direct & clear communication so i am set up to successfully care for pets & homes. this means being provided feeding schedules, cleaning guidelines, vet contacts, and detailed house care info. nomador provides a template for this and i expect a completely filled out guide upon my arrival. homeowners tend to take these details for granted since they are used to their homes & pets, but as a housesitter, these are essential.

it's also absolutely vital for me to stay in a clean house. my expectation is that a house will be clean before my arrival and i will leave it as it was found in line with the instructions given. i am not scrupulous by any means. but i do expect a sanitary, organized & fully stocked house prepared for a guest. by “fully stocked,” i mean there should be ample pet & household items left behind so i can provide the best care & am comfortable.

for my part, i offer reviews via my other platforms, references, background checks & interviews with lots of questions to vouch for my character & care. it is imperative that this exchange remains professional and pet & home-focused.

boundaries, clear communication and respect are nonnegotiables for me. it’s important to remember that i am doing a service in exchange for a place to stay and that i am not a houseguest or personal acquaintance. therefore, clear parameters around one another’s time & space, as well as respectful communication & conflict resolution are essential.

additionally, as i am traveling as a single black woman, i need to know there will be respect by locals. if you know that i will made to feel disrespected, discriminated against or uncomfortable because of others' biases, please find another sitter.

i feel comfortable & safe absolutely anywhere in the world. & care little about others' prejudices & projections. i have traveled solo for nearly 2 decades throughout the caribbean, in the eu, the middle east & in north & central america. however, i am uninterested in being subject to antagonism or violence, particularly in the current state of the world.
