Bénédicte reacted very quickly to my application and communication was very smooth and easy all the time, including during my stay. She’s a very warm and welcoming person (and so is her companion). On arrival, you’ll get all the practical information you’ll ever need about the flat and residence and of course, not to forget, the habits of dear Zven the cat. What and when he likes to eat, his favourite (hiding) places and toys… Surprise, surprise… it’s little mice… (fake once of course, with a little something in it that makes them rattle and makes Zven go ‘hunting’!). If ever one would forget about things, practical and most efficient Bénédicte prepared two reference books, one for dear Zven and one for the residence. Of course, during this process, as correspondence to a cat which respects itself, Zven left all this nicely to Bénédicte, while he was ‘resting’ in the master bedroom… Zven is just a dream of a cat, no fuss or worries, just knows what he likes and want and wants to know about. For, yes, he is deliciously curious of everything (semi) new that comes his way or discovers. His ‘shyness’ melts away in the next 24 hours or so. He will come look for you, tentatively at first, but very quickly, live goes on (more or less) as usual. He becomes quite playful and has a great appetite… so, look up the kitty litter, for he likes it clean! While Bénédict explained, the three of us had a nice apéro together, after which I was invited to supper (much appreciated) in the lively neighbourhood downstairs. But no worries, the flat is very well situated in the middle of the courtyard of the residence, so you don’t actually hear anything of the livelihood downstairs. The street is packed with restaurants of world cuisine and just a stone’s throw away from the new hype in Paris, Popincourt! Just around the corner, there is a market every Tuesday and Friday and a metro station, the bus 96 to the centre, a Monop’ on your way downtown… and Père Lachaise cemetery… If however, you prefer a lovely day at home, you will find the flat very comfy, and its spaciousness and light very welcoming. You can also cook anything you bought on the market or warm-up your take-out in the fully equipped open-kitchen… what else could one need… Needless to say, I had a splendid time in Paris, thanks to Bénédict’s hospitality… and best of all, we became best friends, Zven and I!
