As a family
We're Alina (my girlfriend), Viktoria (my sister) and Gabriel (that's me) and we've been traveling a couple of times together. All of us were raised with animals (Viktoria and me grew up with dogs [Große Muensterlaender], a lot of birds and some rabbits; Alina was always accompanied by a poodle). Furthermore, Viktoria is an ongoing veterinary (she's completed her third year at University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna) and has been taking care for several horses for quite a long time. That's why together we have quite some knowledge and practice when it comes to handling animals and pets in particular.
While it's our first time house-sitting, all of us live on their own (Alina in Hannover [GER], Viktoria in Vienna [AUT] and me in Bielefeld [GER]) and as such know how to properly take care for a home. Alina is very fond of plants, she's the green thumb in our group. Viktoria, due to her education, is very knowledgeable about all topics around animals.
Alina is currently completing her studies in renewable resources (which is a quite chemistry-focused study) and will start working at a company in autumn, Viktoria will continue with her fourth year in veterinary medicine (the whole study is 6 years long) and I'm (together with a friend) running an IT company and am studying informatics alongside (just recently completed my fourth semester).

Gabriel, Alina and Viktoria were the perfect housitters for our dog Kora. They are really easy going and enthousiastic people and they made her walk more than we were ever able to do. They took good care of our cats too and we found the house perfectly clean when came back. They also gave us news regularly. I recommend without hesitation!
