We are an English couple in our fifties who have recently moved to Dordogne after 10 years living in Provence. Tricia was an estate agent there; Derek looked after his clients’ homes. Our cat Loulou was abandoned with his siblings and, although the smallest, was clever enough to force himself on us over a period of a few months until we accepted him. He has been thoroughly spoilt ever since!
Nous sommes un couple anglais qui ont récemment emménagé dans le Périgord après 10 en Provence où Tricia a été dans l’immobilier et Derek a été dans l’intendance. Notre chat, Loulou, ainsi que ses frères et ses sœurs, a été abandonné mais, même étant le plus petit, il a eu l’intelligence de forcer l’entrée de notre maison chaque jour pendant quelques mois, jusqu’au moment où nous l’avons accepté. Depuis, on l’a gâté !

We had a wonderful time taking care of Loulou and the property. Loulou is really sociable and fun to be with. The beautiful house is very well located: just a couple of km from all amenities, but still in the countryside. Lots of things to discover and do, if you can peel yourself away from the pool of course ;-) Tricia and Derek were very welcoming and made us feel at home at once. They communicated with us before and during the stay, and made sure everything was well set up for our housesit. A great experience!
