We are a "young" mature couple - a sculptor and an artist who have spent 10 previous summers in France. We own our own home in Australia as well as a house in Le Vigan in the Cevennes, Southern France, and we will always treat your property with respect looking after it with the greatest of care. As we love animals ( we have a cat and fish in Australia ) we are more than happy to look after your pets. We are looking for a house and pets to look after preferably ( but not essential ) in Paris ( as central as possible), Nice or Italy. Even though we now have our own house in France we still like to stay in other areas and find that house sitting and looking after pets offers us this opportunity.
We are long term members of Nomador and have looked after pets in both France and England since 2015
We have had a lot of experience working in France ~ mainly renovating ancient stone buildings, building a stone wall, roofing in the Roman style, renovating a kitchen, painting out a whole studio; maintaining pool decking, cooking, also helping in B&B's and in organic gardens (in the South of France).
We are both artists; Leigh is a sculptor and musician and I am a painter, so we enjoy visiting art galleries and museums.
We are both fond of animals, especially dogs and cats and fish.
Our primary language is English, I speak some French and Leigh speaks some Spanish.
We want to house sit as we like to spend time in one area and get to know people and explore the region. By staying in one place we get a real feel for the place. It also allows us to explore our art -Leigh is a sculptor and Liz is a painter and we find the light in the south of France very inspirational. Previously we have spent time close to Avignon, in the Cevennes, the Tarn et Garonne, and Nimes and we love all these areas. We do speak a little French but want to improve our French.
We are looking for house sits in Paris and in London, either in June 2022 or August, September 2022.

Liz and her husband Leigh have just finished a 10 day house-sit for us in Paris, taking great care of our cat Neko and dog Monty. I came back to a very tidy home and two happy pets, along with some beautiful flowers and a card. Liz has a lot of experience house-sitting so I felt very comfortable leaving her in charge of our home. Liz and Leigh were very independent so they were able to just get on with the house-sit even when things didn't go to plan. We are very happy with the whole experience and would welcome them back any time to Paris. Thanks Liz and Leigh!
