We're a recently retired couple in our mid-sixties. We have extensive experience living and traveling overseas, in the Mideast, Europe, Asia, Africa and Central America, starting off as Peace Corps volunteers in the 1970s (my wife in Senegal and me in Iran), and then mainly working overseas teaching English until 1987, when we returned home to give birth to the first of our two children. Since then, aside from a couple of vacations, we spent the last 30 years stateside, but now that we retired empty nesters, we are again looking forward to spending time abroad. Because we like "living" as opposed to just traveling in other countries and cultures, becoming house-sitters would afford us the opportunity to experience the culture, language and daily life of a new place in our lives for at least some extended length of time. We love to learn new things, and are quiet and flexible with a good sense of humor; we love animals, having owned several cats and dogs.

Ken and Hilary were always communicative, friendly and reliable. We can totally recommend them. We are pleased to have had them as house-sitters taking care of our place and cat.
