In terms of looking after them, it is fairly basic - feeding wet food 2x a day, cleaning litter box everyday, playing with them as much as you can! :) They love human contact and love to cuddle - Gilly will be waiting for you on the couch after 8pm for Netflix and cuddles!

Although the happiness and healthiness of my cats are the priority, I am of course also looking for someone who is responsible and, most importantly, clean and tidy with the apartment.
This is also important for the cats, as they are curious about every single piece of food left out and will try it, no matter what it is! Except kimchi, which a relief I guess!
This means it's really important to be tidy and not forget about leftover food and dishes around, as they really will go for it.

These are the dates I'll be gone on holiday with my girlfriend, and it would be important to meet you a day before on the 13th so I can show you the apartment, the cats, how everything works etc. Our flight is very early on the morning of the 14th so there wouldn't be anytime to do that on the day of, unfortunately!
Regarding the return, this is more flexible - if you need to leave a day earlier for a cheaper train or flight for example, this can be arranged as I have good friends in the neighbourhood who could come just to feed the cats for the night, for example :) I would come back to flat around 18:00 on the 28th, so if you are around too, then I can at least thank you in person!

It is also located very closely to the S&U-Bahn Schönhauser Allee station, where there is very convenient access to all parts of the city. It is also a short walk away from the famous Mauerpark, with fleamarkets on the weekends being very popular!
The living room is equipped with a 4K Smart TV with a Playstation Pro (incl. netflix, youtube, all my video games etc), a great sound system, high-speed and reliable wifi, and a workstation with a 4K monitor if needed. The apartment has a balcony fitted with a cat net, facing southwards to get nice sunny light at all times of the year.

Prenzlauer Berg is one of the most sought-after locations in Berlin, where a nice blend of young families and artists live to create a very safe and pleasant environment. One can find the best cafes, restaurants, bars and boutique shops within a stone's throw. I love being able to do my work at home during the day, and just walk 5 mins to go for a beer in a nice biergarten, a coffee in a chill cafe, or go to a cool bar nearby afterwards with some friends. In my opinion some of the best food is located within my area - the best burger (Burgermeister), the best pizza (Malafemmena), the best sushi (Sasaya), the best Indian (Meena Kumari) - the list goes on, and I have lots of awesome maps and lists prepared for your stay.
While the district can be lively in some parts, my apartment in particular is very quiet in the back courtyard. The apartment itself is very cosy and a perfect place either for doing some work next to the window (with Gilly or Také on your lap quite often!) or for relaxing on the couch watching Netflix or playing games (they're all yours!)

I love cooking, and my kitchen should have everything you need - a gas stove, oven, percolator/ mokka pot with manual milk frother for your coffee, microwave with grill function, and various sized pots and pans.

There is a big modern supermarket less than 1-min walking distance away, where you have so much variety with fresh food sections - bakery, deli, salad bar, and a great variety of items.
Not far from the apartment is a big running track, where there is an outdoor gym as well that you can use for exercise, and plenty of nice parks to walk through as well.
Berlin is an incredible city with so so so much to do. Whether you're into the clubbing scene, the food scene, the bar scene, the art scene, or beautiful nature, the city literally has it all. From my apartment, you can easily access everywhere within the city within 30 minutes, as the ringbahn is located at Schönhauser Allee, and there are also trains going into Alexanderplatz in 5 mins which also takes you wherever you need to go. But this area of Prenzlauer Berg is also just fantastic.
I would give you a huge list of recommendations in this area, to the point where you might not even have to leave the area since it has it all - I find myself sometimes surprised that I haven't left my kiez (district) in a month or so!

It was a very nice experience to stay at Matt‘s - his two cats have wonderful personalities and love to play, cuddle and be pet. His flat is clean, has everything you need and is located in a very good area in the city with many possibilities regarding public transport and cultural spots. Matt gave me a good introduction and always was available when I had any questions - he was a great host.
House-sitting for Matt was a wonderful experience. Gilly and Také are so so sweet, I really loved being with them, and the flat (so sunny and with a lovely green backyard) is in a great location, which made exploring Berlin a lot of fun. Matt was extremely kind, communicative, and helpful, and made me feel welcome and comfortable for my entire stay.

Take and Gilly are absolutely adorable and were super easy. They love to hang out and cuddle and are a lot of fun to play with as well. Matt is super easy-going and accommodating. He was always quick to respond and help out. His place is very cozy and we spent so much time just hanging out at home. The location was amazing as well, super central in Prenzlauer Berg with cafes, restaurants, parks and shops all in short walking distance. We honestly could not have had a better host for our first house sit on here and we would love to come back anytime!
