Myself, my partner Tammy and Coco and D'Artagnan (our cats) live in a 90m2 house near the Haagse Bos park in the lively and green neighbourhood of Bezuidenhout, The Hague. Our apartment is on the ground floor of a traditional Dutch building from the 1930s. It has plenty of charm, modern amenities, and a rather spacious garden. Our place is 10 minutes away from the central train station on a bike (15 minutes on the bus). The neighbourhood has everything you can need within a 10-minute walking distance, from local grocery stores to bakeries and plenty of cafés and restaurants. Our apartment is also close to both the city centre with all its museums, cultural activities, and restaurants (15 minutes away) and the beach (20 minutes away).

It is also a city bustling with culture and art, with many world-class art and history museums and beautiful architecture. It is a very diverse city, with plenty of people from all over the globe. There are thus restaurants of any cuisine you can imagine, from Indonesian, Japanese, and Vietnamese to Italian, Georgian and Turkish. The city is very well connected to the world with a major train station in the city centre and the second largest airport in Europe half an hour away (Schipol). The Hague is also very close to other beautiful Dutch cities like Amsterdam (40 minutes on train/car), Delft (15 minutes on train/car), Utrecht (30minutes on train/car), Rotterdam (20 minutes on train/car), Leiden (15 minutes on train/car), Gauda (20 minutes on train/car). It is thus a great place to visit the rest of the Netherlands.

We are so happy to meet Martin and Tammy. It was pleasure to take care of Coco and D’Artagnan in their cozy apartment full of beautiful art, books and cozy backyard. They were always easily reachable whenever we had questions. Coco and D’Artagnan became our good friends and we were even sorry to leave those cuties. Though they are timid at first, as soon as you get to know them closer and would be kind and patient, they will show you how friendly they are. Thank you so much and we are looking forward to spend some time in such amazing company!

Tammy et Martin sont des jeunes personnes charmantes, amusantes et riches de culture. Leur appartement est cosy et on s’y sent tout de suite bien. Leurs deux chats sont très mignons. D’Artagnan est adorable, pot-de colle à souhait et très présent : il miaule pour nous quémander caresses, friandises et attention. Trop timide, la jolie Coco ne nous a pas honoré de ses câlins ; sur sa réserve, elle a préféré vivre sa vie dehors et manger sur la terrasse ; elle était heureuse ainsi. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à La Haye: musées, promenades dans la vieille ville ainsi que le long des canaux de Delft ou dans les grandes dunes de la réserve naturelle de Scheveningen. Martin et Tammy seront les bienvenus chez nous s’ils ont la bonne idée de venir visiter Bruxelles.

We have had a very nice and pleasant stay at Tammy´s and Martin´s home. The communication was fluid and we always received quick answers to our questions. The flat is very well situated, access to shops and restaurants in short distance on foot. Aera is very green and quiet. We thank both for their hospitality, nice dinner together. Coco and Dartagnan are very sweet and affectionate. Last but not least, we appreciated very much the parking app and being able to use their 2 bicycles during our stay. We could imagine visiting a second time. We wish all the very best for the coming 2024.
